Unwelcome comments

For some months now I have been getting unwelcome comments submitted to my blog. They appear to originate in China as the comment is in Chinese and consists of a lot of links to sex sites. I keep rejecting them... and will keep on rejecting them. However, it is annoying that this is happening.

I have seen a number of other bloggers complain about the same thing. Seems to be a random act. Hope it stops.

Oops... your http://www.blestatheist.com is down. Don't know if you'll see this but maybe.

found your site from your comment on Humility at Modern Mysticism. I loved how you described it.... such a perfect delight...

"Seems like God takes a great deal of delight showing himself to us in our admitted moments of weakness... a bit like coming across a lovely flower almost hidden in the grasses of life."

I loved this! I want to remember it! Thanks for sharing that.

I haven't had the spam from these chinese artist on my place yet. But I have had a number of other issues that are just as unwelcome. I even moderated my comments for a while - but I got tired of that too. I do pray that with more followers - as I see Elizabeth and I are you only ones - this far - that this spamming will come to a halt. May God bless you for your determination to continue.

Thanks, Patrina, for your encouraging response. I'm glad you liked the comment on humility. It's a long walk through life to come to a place of noticing the little flowers that God has scattered in our path. I guess we're so busy "proving ourselves" that we fail to notice that a flower does not need to "prove itself", and if often never noticed by anyone.

I've taken to reporting each spam comment in hopes that Blogger will come up with a more permanent way to deal with spurious accounts.

Blessings,
Fran

Thanks again for letting me know that the site was down. I cannot fix it (well, not in the way I would want to), so I have renamed it (now it is 100th Lamb) and am moving the older posts over to that site: www.emahlou.blogspot.com.

Elizabeth, I'm glad I could help. I do like the name of your new blog... 100th lamb... how many of us are the 100th lamb? Seems like we go wandering off ever so easily and ever so often... and, forget to look at where we're going until we fall into a ditch, a briar patch, a dark chasm, or somewhere where the shepherd is not.
All the best in getting the new blog up to speed.
